Since late 2022, Lewis Capaldi has been dating Scottish actress Ellie MacDowell. Having studied at The MGA Academy of Performing Arts in Edinburgh, she is reportedly set to play Cary Grant’s daughter in an ITV biopic of the Hollywood icon.
Lewis’ girlfriend Ellie MacDowell, 23, was not at his recent Glastonbury gig which saw him battling with Tourette’s and subsequently cancelling his tour.
While it’s not clear where Ellie was, Lewis, 28, has credited the actress for being by his side during previous gigs – calling her ‘very understanding’. Lewis made rare comments about his relationship in an interview with The Record while doing shows in Bristol late last month, saying: ‘She’s good. She’s chilled. She’s very understanding of my situation given I’m away a lot. She’s cool.’
Capaldi made his relationship public with MacDowell in May 2023 when he took her to brunch with his mum and dad in West Hollywood. Before they both found fame, Lewis previously dated Love Island winner Paige Turley, who went on to win the reality show in 2020.
