It was a spinoff of the hit “How I Met Your Mother” on CBS, and it was expected that the show would do as well as How I Met Your Mother, but the response was not very well received.
The show features Hilary Duff as Sophie Tompkins, who is a hopeless romantic looking for her partner, and Christopher Lowell as Jessie Walker, an aspiring musician and teacher. Francia Raisa plays Valentina Morales, and Suraj Sharma plays Sid.
The show ran for two seasons. There were rumors speculating that the show would return with another season; however, sources have confirmed that the show will not return with another season. The first season premiered in January 2022, with 30 episodes overall, and the final season premiered on July 11, 2023.
How I Met Your Father highlights Sophie’s conversation with her son, and she narrates the story of how she met his father. Here we are shown how Sophie navigates her way through life along with her friends. We did not come to find out who Sophie’s son was. There were guest appearances by Judge Judy, Meghan Trainor, Neil Pattrick Harris, Paget Brewster, and Clark Gregg.
Disney+ has been making cuts in the shows, and no specific reason has been mentioned, but fans will not get to witness the third season.
