Ruud is a professional wrestler who has fought for over 17 years, making his debut back in 2003. He recently left WWE to fight in the independent circuit again.

Joseph Ruud was born on November 28, 1981, in Montrose, Minnesota. His family is of Norwegian descent who immigrated to the United States of America from Nannestad.
He graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris, where he also played football.
Erick Rowan Professional Wrestling Career
Ruud started his professional wrestling career in 2003, when he fought in several promotions across the Midwest under the moniker ‘Thoduf Marius’. This was until 2007, when he was invited to live and wrestle in Japan with Pro Noah Wrestling. (NOAH)
After a year in Japan, he returned to the United States and started fighting in the F1rst wrestling promotion. His claim to fame came in 2011 when he signed a developmental contract with WWE.
He made his WWE debut in December 2012 when he was introduced as the second son of Bray Wyatt in ‘The Wyatt Family’. Together with the late Luke Harper, the trio formed an intimidating alliance where they won the NXT tag team title.
The Wyatt Family made its debut on the main roster in June 2013. After a number of years with the stable, Harper (AKA Brodie Lee) and Rowan formed another tag team called the ‘Bludgeon Brothers’ in 2017.
In total, he won the WWE SmackDown tag team title in his WWE career. Once with Luke Harper, and the other with Daniel Bryan in the final few years of his WWE stint.
He was released by WWE in April 2020 due to budget cuts and now wrestlers in various independent circuits under the name ‘Erick Redbeard’. He also recently appeared on AEW where he gave a tribute to the late Brodie Lee.
