Eugenie Bouchard became the talk of the town after her Twitter post went viral as she searched for a boyfriend.
Like rest of the tennis stars, the former World no.5 has been out of action following the recent coronavirus outbreak.
With the pandemic virus gripping the world at the moment, many stars including Bouchard have decided to go under self-quarantine as a part of the safety precautions.
A visibly bored Bouchard decided to spice things up a little bit by posting a new message on her Twitter page wherein she mentions that quarantine would have been better with a boyfriend.
Bouchard’s post: “not complaining, but i feel like quarantine would be a lot more fun with a boyfriend”, has sent the Twitter crazy.
Needless to say, the Canadian’s post soon sparked plenty of responses, including some hilarious ones.
Meanwhile, Bouchard already has a history with her tweets, having once gone on a date with the University of Missouri student John Goehrke after losing a bet on the social media handle.
The coronavirus outbreak has forced many of the players to get creative with little or nothing left to do at the moment.
Like Bouchard, Australian tennis player Alex de Minaur had recently grabbed the spotlight when he took to Instagram to let the world know that he ‘job hunting’.
“Yep I’ve lost it,” read de Minaur’s post with a photo of himself. Meanwhile, ‘Next Gen’ star Alexander Zverev posted a photo of himself sitting idle with the caption, “What next….”
Rafael Nadal and Australian Open runner-up Dominic Thiem expressed their solidarity with the world in fighting coronavirus and requested everyone to stay safe.
Recently the ATP had suspended all Tours and matches until the end of April in the wake of the virus outbreak. WTA, meanwhile, postponed all games till beginning of May.
