The world No. 10 Felix Auger-Aliassime will lock horns with the world No. 36 Sebastian Korda in what promises to be a riveting European Open final match.

The second seed is on a roll as of late. He is one win away from bagging consecutive titles. Currently, on a 7-match winning streak, Auger-Aliassime will be fancying his chances of winning his third tour-level title in 2022.
After receiving a first-round bye, the Canadian tennis pro put on a clinic against France’s Manuel Guinard. Felix won the match in straight sets 6-3, 6-3. In the quarter-finals, the talented youngster came back from a set down to defeat British veteran Dan Evans in a pulsating encounter. The semi-final match against Richard Gasquet was also a stern test for the 22-year-old. Auger-Aliassime won the match 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-3).
Sebastian Korda
The 22-year-old has also been in good form in recent times. After reaching the Gijon Open final with some impressive performances, the American tennis pro continued in the same vein in Antwerp.
He began his campaign with an intriguing 6-3, 6-7 (0-7), 6-4 win against Marcos Giron. In the round of 16, Korda defeated Karen Khachanov after winning two closely-contested sets. The quarter-final encounter against Korda was a one-sided affair as he defeated Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka in straight sets 6-0, 6-2. Korda gave a great insight into his clutch instincts as he came back from a set down to edge the 2020 US Open champion, Dominic Thiem, in a thriller. The match ended 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) in favor of the youngster.

The head-to-head scoreline currently stands at 1-1. The Canadian youngster won in their first meeting in Acapulco last year in straight sets. Korda managed to exact revenge earlier this year at the Estoril Open as he defeated Felix in straight sets.
