Everton Opinion: Why Che Adams will be a brilliant fit at Everton?

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Everton are one of the host of English clubs interested in signing Birmingham City hotshot, Che Adams.

Che Adams, 22, has been in excellent form for Birmingham City this season, bagging 21 goals and three assists in 39 games. He has impressed with his all-round displays and link-up play with fellow striker Lukas Jutkiewicz, who himself has netted 11 goals and supplied 10 assists thus far this term.

Hence, it doesn’t come as a surprise to see Che Adams being a centre of attraction and as per the report, Birmingham City will allow the forward his wish of playing in the Premier League next season. That being said, Everton must do everything possible to sign the 22-year-old this summer.

Everton are in desperate need of a new striker this summer after an underwhelming first season under Marco Silva. The Merseysiders have seen Dominic Calvert-Lewin impress lately, but there has been no end for Cenk Tosun’s struggles. In fact, Tosun has failed to live up to the expectations at Goodison Park since his big-money move from Besiktas in January 2018.

That makes signing a prolific goalscorer one of Everton’s priorities if Silva is to challenge for a place in the Champions League in the 2019/20 campaign.

Che Adams would be a brilliant fit at Everton, owing to his profile and overall qualities. The 22-year-old is one of the hottest properties in the Championship and that is solely down to his goalscoring exploits for Birmingham City this campaign. He is a strong, powerful forward blessed with raw pace and exquisite dribbling skills.

A mobile centre-forward, who has the spatial awareness and vision, the former Sheffield United ace has the ability to link up effectively with his teammates and finish off chances in one blink of an eye. His ability to time his jump to perfection for scoring headers and movement in the box keeps the defenders on their toes.

Adams is lethal inside the box and he has a knack of being at the right place and at the right time to convert the chances that come his way. The 22-year-old also works really hard off the ball, even though his work-rate remains an underrated quality of his game. He does his bit of defensive work and tracks back to help his team in pressure situations.

Conclusion

The report adds Birmingham City want £20million for their prized asset, Adams, who has a contract at St. Andrews until 2022. Given the Blues’ asking price, Everton will have little problems in securing the forward’s signature.
