A host of announcements, release date news, surprise drops, and other tidbits have been released by the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase in June 2022. There was some variety in the Nintendo Direct the fans have been anticipating all June, even if it wasn’t the full-fat first-party Nintendo Direct. Three enhanced Persona games will be making their way to the Nintendo Switch after previously being announced for PC and Xbox. In addition to Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable, Persona 5 Royal will also arrive on the console. It is expected that Persona 5 Royal will be available on October 21, and the two older games in 2023.
Sunbreak, which launches near the end of the month, will add Shagaru Magala, Furious Rajang, and Seething Bazelgeuse to the rotation-some difficult variants of iconic monsters. These three have joined the rapidly expanding list of monsters in the expansion, which contains a mixture of old favorites and new ones. On Thursday, June 30, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak hits Switch and PC, and Capcom has already announced multiple follow-up title updates featuring more monsters.
The upcoming RPG Live A Live will let you experience three different time periods before it releases next month. Nintendo Switch owners will finally be able to play Nier: Automata on the platform on October 6. It was previously confirmed for Switch, but Nintendo Direct Announcements represented the game’s highest-profile showing yet, with the Sonic snippet showing off some of the new Cyber Space levels. The levels are unlocked using collectible keys, and they appear to be more traditional 3D Sonic levels decorated with classic environments.
Beginning on September 6, Disney Dreamlight Valley will be available for early access on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. There isn’t much time left until the free-to-play game releases fully next year, but you can have a try now.
Another look at Minecraft Legends reveals both the Pikmin-style gameplay as well as the enemies you’ll be fighting against while battling through a dimensional portal.
