Ali Abdelaziz claimed a rival of Gilbert Burns pushed the Egyptian to sign him
Ali Abdelaziz was the latest guest on the Schmozone podcast. The Egyptian has some of the biggest MMA stars under his Dominance brand and two of them are to fight soon.
Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Justin Gaethje could be a classic for the Lightweight title, however, another of his clients faces off for a title clash too.
Kamaru Usman is the UFC Welterweight star and will go up against training partner Gilbert Burns.
Burns has been impressive ever since he moved to the Welterweight division and gets his chance at the champion.
Usman defeated Colby Covington in his last fight and Abdelaziz confirmed that the Nigerian Nightmare convinced him to sign Burns:
“Kamaru Usman was the reason I signed Gilbert Burns. But Burns was also recommended to me by Rafael dos Anjos.”
Abdelaziz was pleased that he was able to set up fights for the biggest and most prestigious titles.
The Welterweight and Lightweight titles will feature stars that he is linked to, and the Egyptian was extremely pleased that fighters could make a lot of money and change lives with such opportunities.
Usman is considered as one of the best in the business but this is going to be a test for the Nigerian Nightmare.
Burns demolished Tyron Woodley to set up this chance and it will be interesting to see how this fight goes.
The UFC hasn’t confirmed this fight yet but they should do that once things fall into place. Usman defeated Jorge Masvidal recently and it was a great performance from the Nigerian Nightmare, even though he didn’t demolish Gamebred.
