Ian McCall also spoke about the commission not wanting to share details regarding the Demetrious Johnson fight

Former UFC star Ian McCall believes he won his first clash against Demetrious Johnson and was “scr****” out of it.

He was exclusively speaking to MMA Unhinged and also highlighted how he has been concentrating on his work outside the UFC.

The 36-year-old retired from the sport while fighting on Rizin. However, he explained that he suffered several injuries during his time in MMA.

Nevertheless, one of the biggest talking points of his career was the first battle against Johnson. This came in the Flyweight tournament to decide the first UFC Champion in the promotion.

While the decision was a draw, McCall was asked if he thought he won it:

“Yeah, of course, I think I won that fight. I got kinda scre***. I am not mad about it, I guess everyone kinda feels like I got kinda scre***.

“It is what it is. There is a lot of other stuff that happened. Like, the commission running around and not showing my coaches the scorecard, it was just weird.”

Not blaming the UFC

McCall kept on harping that the night was very weird and no one wanted to share the scorecards with his coaches.

Nevertheless, Uncle Creepy didn’t blame the UFC for the madness that ensued and put it all on the commission.

Johnson and McCall again met later in 2012 and was Uncle Creepy by his rival. He did face Joseph Benavidez in his next fight and lost that too.

McCall lost the last fight of his career to Kyoji Horiguchi at Rizin and finished with an MMA record of 13 wins, seven losses and one draw.
