Deontay Wilder blamed a heavy costume for losing to Tyson Fury in their second clash

American boxing star Deontay Wilder lost to Tyson Fury but blamed his costume for the defeat.

This was the second meeting between the two heavyweights in the boxing world. The first was a draw but the second was a resounding win for Fury.

The British star kept hold of his belt and there have been talks of a third clash between the pair. One of the more interesting bits that came out from the clash was hearing Wilder complain that his costume had hurt his chances of winning the clash.

While Fury came out as a king, Wilder put on a few pounds thanks to an eccentric costume. That did weight a bit and Fury certainly seemed to be better in the ring compared to his rival.

One man who has been close to a ton of big fights is legendary cutman Jacob ‘Stitch’ Duran. Duran has worked in boxing and the MMA world and has been with Fury in several fights.

All bull****

He was the latest guest on the WERMMA podcast and was speaking about working with Fury and how great it all is.

Stitch was also asked about this excuse from Wilder but the legend wasn’t having any of it:

“That’s all bullshit.

“Fighters, whenever they lose, will always find their reasons why they lost. He got beat. Plain and simple, he got beat.

“I had told people before that Deontay Wilder has one way of winning, that’s by knockout. Tyson Fury has two ways of winning, that’s by decision or knockout and if he gets a decision, it is going to be unanimous.”

Stitch also spoke about seeing the fight and predicting that it would be stopped soon. The cutman claimed that Wilder was taking long-term injury shots which could lead to brain damage later on.

Wilder was knocked down during the fight but his corner threw in the towel to save him from further damage later on.

The win cemented Fury as one of the greatest ever and he is unbeaten in his professional boxing career. Fury has just one draw to his name, which came against Wilder in their first meeting, and has 30 wins so far.
