Prochazka was asked who he wanted to face after his impressive win over Volkan Oezdemir, but the Czech star just wanted a fun fight:

“I don’t care about my next opponent. That is the work of my manager, I just want to go with some guy who has an exciting style. Who has a style that is exciting for me and that makes me happy.”

Prochazka added that he didn’t want to bring in too much aggression into the Octagon and rather be in control.

He highlighted his knockout over Oezdemir where he didn’t go for the kill after the KO. Prochazka claimed there was no hate in him when fighting and didn’t want to hit people when they were down.

Jones has full respect

Prochazka was asked about the current state of the UFC Light Heavyweight division. Jones isn’t keen on defending the title and has spoken about vacating it too.

However, the 27-year-old understood Jones’ reasoning for slowing things down and admired Bones:

“I think he must be tired from fighting. So many fights on the top of the level and still on the first place, that’s amazing. He has my full respect.”

Prochazka added that winning the title was his target in the UFC. However, he has some work to do before reaching the top.

The 27-year-old revealed that he trains almost every day and only takes off on Saturdays. However, the training is also dependent on how he feels on a certain day.

Another interesting fact that Prochazka shared was that he avoids meats when he is close to a fight. The Czech claimed he wanted to stay light, and “pure” ahead of his battles, and with an MMA record of 27-3-1, it seems to be working for him.
