Bellator star Logan Storley faces a tough opponent in his next fight. The 11-0 American goes up against the 24-0 Ukrainian Yaroslav Amosov.

Storley was the latest guest to feature on the Blood, Sweat and Tears podcast as he opened up on the mental side of the MMA game too.

The 28-year-old is one of the rising stars on Bellator and believed it would be a great fight against Amosov.

He also didn’t believe the lack of fans in the arena affects him as the MMA promotions try to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

Storley also opened up on who his favourite fighter was when growing up and named a legend. Georges St-Pierre is considered as one of the front-runners to be the greatest of all-time. The Canadian won several titles during his time in the UFC and even came out of retirement to get a win.

While GSP is retired for now, Storley opened up on how he got hooked into the star:

“Mine was GSP [Georges St-Pierre]. I watched a lot of his fights and he had the wrestling style. So growing up, I wanted to emulate that and I just loved watching him compete.

“He was a world class athlete and just dominated people and used his wrestling and that was something I connected with.

“He didn’t talk as much smack and he was just a real dude, and so I respected that and I love watching him fight and learned a lot watching him fight all those years.”

Enjoys domination

Storley also named another UFC great as someone he enjoyed watching. Khabib Nurmagomedov recently retired from MMA with a career record of 29 wins and no losses.

The Russian shocked the world by announcing his decision at UFC 254 and Storley explained why he liked the Eagle.

Storley claimed that Khabib’s pressure on opponents was something he loved watching. The 28-year-old also liked watching people dominate others with their wrestling and claimed both GSP and Khabib had unbelievable runs.

Khabib and GSP are both retired for now, and it will be interesting to see if they clash. The pair are two of the greatest ever, and that is one fight that Storley and the entire MMA world would watch.
