Sam Alvey is on a four-fight losing streak but he hasn’t lost his sense of humour
UFC Light Heavyweight Sam Alvey was the latest star to feature on the MMA Unhinged podcast.
The 34-year-old might not be in the best of form after losing his last four fights. However, he was in a brilliant mood.
Alvey shared some hilarious responses when asked about who he wanted to fight next. The UFC star claimed that he was just happy getting a fight, but shared some conditions on who he would call out next:
“I’m on a four-fight skid, I’m just blessed they are giving me that next shot.
“I am in no place to call out anyone but if I was to call out somebody, I would call out whoever is injured, whoever is lost like a bunch in a row, somebody who is just going up a weight class, someone weaker than me, someone slower than me, that’s what I’d call out.”
Alvey has 48 fights under his belt and he was willing to go down a division too. Given his longevity in the world of MMA, the American has been part of all the UFC games including the fourth one.
Alvey didn’t believe he was in the game but was more than happy since he was already in the first three games.
The American had checked the roster earlier but he only got to see the new names on the list and not his own.
“It’s been a dream of my whole life to be in a video game, to be a character, and now I have been on all four of them.
“All I need now is an action figure of myself and that will just make my life.”
It was confirmed that Alvey could be used in two divisions, and the UFC star also claimed that fighting with him actually helps him make more money.
“All of those watching your podcast, the millions and millions of your fans should go out and play me, cause we all get cheques the more we get played.”
That was some surprising news to hear and he joked that Conor McGregor was making millions:
“Pick me, play me, send me a picture on Instagram. I will tweet it or re-share it and all that. We get paid at the end of the year depending on how often our character gets played.”
Alvey added that he didn’t know about this either until a cheque showed up. Alvey went on to say that McGregor was making a lot of money and so was Bruce Lee’s family since the action star is in the game too.
