Drew Dober is keen on fighting multiple times in the UFC next year
UFC Lightweight star Drew Dober was on the Blood, Sweat and Tears podcast with Jer Wilson.
The 31-year-old was coming off a great win over Alexander Hernandez in his last fight but was keen on getting back into action soon.
Dober claimed he was open to fighting between three to six times next year and was keen on ensuring a legacy of great fights once his career was over.
Dober also spoke about how mental toughness was important in the UFC and that was the difference between winning and losing:
“I think everyone in the UFC fighters are Ferraris. All the horsepower, athleticism, ability, right.
“But, when you put a bad driver behind the wheel it doesn’t count for anything.
“We are all tough, we are all skilled, we are all athletic but whoever has the best mindset, they win the fights.”
Dober added that he had seen several quality fighters but those with mental toughness became champions.

Cro Cop was intimidating
Dober also spoke about how much he loved Croatian star Mirko Cro Cop. The 46-year-old is one of the biggest names in MMA history. However, he didn’t have the best of times in the UFC, something that Dober acknowledged.
Cro Cop also seemed to be a tough character before fights and that was brought up too:
“He had the most intimidating poker face. I remember his face off with Wanderlei. When he fought Fedor, I don’t think there was any facial expression for the 15 minutes he fought Fedor.”
Cro Cop retired from MMA with an incredible record of 38 wins, 11 losses, two draws and one no contest.
He also was one a 10-fight win streak before calling it quits, and that gives Dober a lot of time to capture gold.
While the American wanted to be world champion at the age of 24, he is yet to win a title in his career. However, he is only 31 and has a few quality years left in him to make that happen.
