Here’s a look at the 2023 Azerbaijan GP preview, schedule, live stream details and our predictions for this weekend in Baku
Formula One action resumes in Baku after this short break following three enthralling races in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Australia. Teams will reach Azerbaijan by the 26th of April and will take part in the practice sessions ahead of the main race on April 30. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix is also set to host the first Sprint Race event of the 2023 season on April 29.
The 2023 Formula 1 Azerbaijan GP will take place at the Baku City Circuit – giving fans a view of modern architecture as well as historic buildings around the capital city of Azerbaijan. The circuit is an FIA Grade 1 licensed circuit and spans over a total length of 6 km including 20 turns and has a capacity of 18,500. The inaugural edition of this F1 Grand Prix was held back in 2017 and this is set to be the sixth edition.
The Baku City Circuit is the third longest track on the F1 calendar. Interestingly, the Grand Prix hasn’t seen a repeat winner since its inaugural edition in 2017. In the previous edition, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished on top of the podium. Sergio Perez (2021), Valtteri Bottas (2019), Lewis Hamilton (2018) and Daniel Ricciardo (2017) are the winners of the earlier editions.

Azerbaijan GP Predictions
Red Bull has been on fire and started the season with a bang, registering 1-2 finishes in both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia followed by another race win in Melbourne. Other teams have a lot of catch up to do and the reigning champions are expected to dominate the grid once again. P1 for Verstappen, P2 for Hamilton and P3 for Perez is our prediction for the weekend.
