Lewis Hamilton has had an illustrious F1 career – has he won at every track?
Lewis Hamilton holds the record for the most race victories at various Formula 1 tracks, with a total of 31. As the individual with the highest number of wins in Grand Prix history, it’s not unexpected that Hamilton has achieved success at numerous different locations.
Starting from his initial victory 15 years ago at the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix, he has since accumulated 102 more wins in Grand Prix races up to the present moment. Currently boasting 103 wins, these triumphs have occurred across a wide array of Formula 1’s esteemed venues.
It’s interestingly coincidental that the track where he achieved his debut victory, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, has become one of his most triumphant venues. Specifically, Hamilton has secured victory at Ile Notre Dame seven times.
However, there are two circuits where Hamilton has attained his greatest number of wins, placing him on par with Michael Schumacher’s eight victories. Schumacher’s wins occurred at Magny-Cours in France on eight instances, while Hamilton has also clinched eight victories at his home race in Silverstone and Budapest’s Hungaroring to reach the same milestone.
Throughout Hamilton’s tenure in Formula 1, the sport has traversed 37 distinct tracks. This implies that there are just six circuits where he has yet to secure a victory. These tracks include the Buddh International Circuit, Korea International Circuit, Magny-Cours, Miami International Autodrome, Valencia Street Circuit, and Zandvoort.
Which drivers are next in the list after Lewis Hamilton?
Michael Schumacher’s ultimate victory at the 2006 Chinese Grand Prix took place solely at the Shanghai International Circuit, making it his sole win at that venue. This achievement marked the 23rd circuit where Schumacher had triumphed over the course of his illustrious career, establishing a fresh record for the greatest number of circuits won by a driver.
With 23 victories, Max Verstappen is swiftly ascending the ranks of drivers with the most wins at various circuits, and if his winning streak persists, he will soon surpass Michael Schumacher to secure the second spot on this list. Alain Prost rounds out the top three, having clinched victories at 22 distinct circuits.
