Two icons of the sport, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton are having a very underwhelming 2022 season
Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel have always been epitomes of consistency throughout their careers. However, this season, both of them find themselves outside the title challenge and it’s the first time since 2006 that neither of them are in the top two of the championship leader board. Lewis Hamilton is placed sixth with 168 points while Vettel is thirteenth with just 20 points.
As things stand going into the Singapore GP, Red Bull dominate the drivers’ championship standings after Verstappen secured his fifth consecutive race win in Monza. Max Verstappen leads the standings with 335 points followed by Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who occupies the second spot with 219 points while Sergio Perez lies in the third spot with 210 points – ahead of George Russell, Carlos Sainz and Lewis Hamilton.
In the constructors’ championship, Red Bull lead the table and are miles ahead of the chasing pack with 545 points. Ferrari are significantly behind in second place with 406 points. Mercedes are further behind – they occupy third place, having earned 371 points.

Keep politics out of professional sports, because there is always a time after professional sports, to do anything we want. It is not good to be unnecessarily loud”, wrote a fan, who has a strange take.

“End of an era coming soon! But we got strong and talented drivers coming I am not worried at all”, wrote another fan.
