Alex Albon reacts to signing 2022 deal with Williams

Williams Racing announce signing Alex Albon for the 2022 season

Williams Racing just announced that they will be signing Alex Albon as replacement of George Russell for the 2022 F1 season. Alex took to twitter to react to this news and this is what he had to say:

 “I can’t tell you how good it feels to say.. I’m joining Williams Racing for 2022”

Albon’s first introduction to F1 was with Redbull Racing when he replaced Pierre Gasly midway through the 2019 season. Later at the end of 2020 season he was dropped by RedBull and replaced by Sergio Perez.

Too much pressure could’ve been the case for Alex at Redbull. Being alongside Max Verstappen is definitely hard, As he rarely puts a foot wrong. So the expectations are always high. Albon is certainly motivated to perform and make a name for himself in the Formula One industry.

What does Alex Albon bring to Formula One?

This will be Alex’s second run at Formula One. Albon is a very promising youngster who still has a lot to unfold. Although his one and a half seasons with Redbull Racing were average but still he showed his potential. With Williams Racing trusting him to replace Russell he will look to perform upto the best of his abilities.
