The Austrian GP is scheduled to take place from 30th June to 2nd July at the picturesque Red Bull Ring circuit – how is the weather here?
Cloudy and overcast conditions are set to welcome F1 teams and fans to the Red Bull Ring Circuit for the Austrian Grand Prix. The temperature in Spielberg at this time of year is very pleasant but heavy showers are an usual sight. It is predicted to remain overcast throughout the weekend but scattered showers are a major cause for worry. There is a moderate chance of rainfall on all three days of the race weekend. Let us now take a detailed look at the weather forecast for this weekend.
The practice sessions on Friday are likely to be affected by showers as there is an 80% chance of rainfall during the evening. Temperatures will be on the cooler side and the conditions are likely to remain the same for the Sprint race on Saturday. Rainfall is predicted on Sunday as well, which happens to be the race day. However, there is a chance that the showers subside by evening and the race can take place in clear conditions.
Teams will have to keep their wet tyres ready for sure and visiting fans should carry necessary equipment to protect them from rain. Having said that, weather is not in anyone’s control and it remains to be seen how things turn out. We’ll certainly have our fingers crossed and hope for a thrilling and uninterrupted race.
