Conor McGregor enjoyed qualifying for the 2022 F1 Monaco GP
The F1 Monaco GP is one of the star-studded and most glamorous events in the sporting world.
The historic race is held in the Principality and even though there isn’t a lot of overtaking there due to the nature of the circuit, many top stars from across the world convene at the event.
UFC legend Conor McGregor was also seen at the 2022 edition of the F1 Monaco GP. However, the Irishman wasn’t supporting one of the leading teams in Red Bull or Ferrari, but he was there supporting Haas.
McGregor was quick to bring up how much fun he had in qualifying. He predicted his Haas cars would do well too, and claimed a “storm was brewing” ahead of the race on Sunday.
McGregor was also in the paddock and got a close look at the Haas cars, and there is no doubt he will be present during the race as well.
Can both Haas cars score points at the Monaco GP?
It will be interesting to see if McGregor can bring some luck to the Haas pairing. Kevin Magnussen has 15 points this season but has not scored in his last two races.
However, it is much worse for his partner, Mick Schumacher. The German hasn’t finished higher than 11th this season and is yet to score a point.
Haas did have a strong car at the start of the season with Magnussen finishing fifth in the opening race. The pair start the 2022 Monaco GP in 13th and 15th position.
Getting points from these positions will not be easy given the nature of the circuit. However, McGregor’s presence could instil some fighting spirit into the Haas team and the pair could spring a surprise.
