The new update for F1 2021 addresses online play and some general updates
F1 2021, the official video game of the 2021 Formula one and Formula two championship has released a new update for the gamers. The primary change is that safety car penalties are getting patched. The constant complaint that the players had is the sensitive safety car feature.
Whoever got hit under the safety car, however minute it might be, there would be a 5-second penalty. In a welcome change, the game developers have addressed this in the new 1.16 update. This means penalties given under the safety car will be more fairly distributed.
There have been a number of other changes including more stability fixes and some online issues that have been solved.
The update has addressed issues wherein previously re-joining a qualifying session would result in the session timer being reset for the user. One more issue which has been fixed is where host and client would struggle to get into the same league event if they previously declined to proceed to the next season.
Which issues have been fixed?
General issues besides the safety car problem that have been fixed include the following:- Resolved a crash that occurs when attempting to back out of Official F1 2021 Championship and attempting to re-enter on consoles. Resolved a crash when selecting a salary with the current team having cancelled negotiations previously. Ghosting can now be disabled in a two-player career.
Previous simulation settings in Grand Prix will now be remembered when starting a new Grand Prix event.
There have been various other general stability improvements and other minor fixes.
Patch 1.16 is live on all platforms. With the launch of F1 2022 around the corner, players hope that the new update gives them a more real-life and user-friendly experience.
