F1 action is moving to Baku for the Azerbaijan GP after a break of two weeks. The 2022 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place at the Baku City Circuit, giving fans a view of modern architecture as well as historic buildings around the capital city of Azerbaijan. This is the 5th edition of the Azerbaijan GP.

The Azerbaijan GP takes place at the Baku City Circuit – an FIA Grade 1 licensed circuit. It spans over a total length of 6 kms including 20 turns and has a capacity of 18,500. The circuit hosted an F1 Grand Prix for the first time, five years back in 2017.

No driver has won the Grand Prix twice since its inaugural edition in 2017. In the last edition, Red Bull’s Sergio Perez finished on top of the podium followed by Sebastian Vettel and Pierre Gasly. McLaren and Red Bull are the most successful constructors so far the Azerbaijan GP with 2 titles each while Max Verstappen has recorded the fastest lap at this Grand Prix.
