Let us take a look at which team stands where in terms of average top speed in F1 after the first three races of the new season.

A short break after the first three races of the season gives us ample time to look at some of the key stats which are setting some teams apart from the rest.

As we already know, speed is one of the key things that teams work on every season. While all teams have certainly attempted to improve the speed of their new cars from the last season, some have been able to and some haven’t.

Red Bull seem to be in a league of their own and they have started the season exactly from where they left off in 2022. With an average speed of 329.7 km/h, the reigning Champions lead the chart ahead of Haas – who have improved dramatically to 328.0 km/h from last season’s 322.0 km/h.

Despite a disappointing season so far, Ferrari has made a commendable improvement of 7 km/h and is placed third in this chart. While most teams have made improvements, Alfa Romeo’s average top speed has gone from what it was in the first three races of last season.

Where do things currently stand in the F1 leaderboard?

F1 action resumes after a short break with the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku. After three enthralling races in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Australia, the dominance of Red Bull is pretty evident.

They have made a fantastic start to the season with 1-2 finishes in both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia followed by another top-of-the-podium finish in Australia. Max Verstappen leads the standings with 69 points followed by his team-mate Sergio Perez, who occupies the second spot with 54 points while Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso lies in the third spot with 45 points – ahead of Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz and Lance Stroll.

In the constructors’ championship, Red Bull sit comfortably on top. The reigning champions lead the table with 123 points. Aston Martin is significantly behind in second place, having earned 65 points from three races so far. Mercedes are placed third in the leaderboard with 56 points in their kitty.
