After a roller-coaster starting week, it’s time to re-strategise and tweak your teams ahead of the deadline for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix
Max Verstappen – DNF – (-10 points)
Sergio Perez – DNF – (-10 points)
Kevin Magnussen – P5 finish
Well, who would have predicted that start to the new season?
Don’t lose your hope just yet! F1 Fantasy is back for a fresh week and it’s time to show your F1 knowledge to get the right combination for the Saudi Arabian GP.
You will get three free substitutions ahead of the Grand Prix. Use them to bring in drivers you feel will do well in Jeddah.
If you don’t have Leclerc yet, just get him in! Red Bull will have a point to prove and we would suggest keeping faith in Verstappen or Perez whoever you have – it’s not time yet to get rid of them! Carlos Sainz is one more option you can look up to at a decent price. Ferrari is the team to bank on! Mercedes are not quite there yet and Red Bull clearly is struggling, so for the constructor slot, Ferrari is a clear choice. It’s important to get a few budget picks and Kevin Magnussen definitely fits the criteria on form.
Is it time yet to use your powerups or streak? Our answer – No. Save it for the future, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. The most important part – Remember to save and submit your teams before the deadline which is the qualifying on Saturday evening.
New to F1 fantasy? Missed the starting deadline? No need to worry! We will run you through the changes in this edition of the official F1 fantasy which will help you to make the best possible team starting afresh ahead of the Saudi Arabian GP.
There have been few notable changes in the F1 fantasy game this year. The primary change is with regard to scoring. The new pattern of scoring includes the following changes from the previous editions:-
– Points for positions gained or lost are now applied relative to the previous season’s finishing position rather than compared to the starting grid to better account for grid penalties
– Drivers now lose two points per position up to a maximum of 10 points for positions lost, regardless of whether the driver started in the Top 10 or not
– A DNF now loses 10 points
– Fastest lap, not classified and disqualified events are now applied to Constructors’ points totals as well as drivers’ points totals
Besides the scoring changes, driver values have been updated and the game has been changed to reflect the current line-up.
That’s enough advice for the week – time to set your teams!
