F1 drivers from the 2022 grid had a lot of fun doing the Secret Santa – here are some of the most interesting gifts
Christmas is fast approaching and F1 drivers certainly didn’t want to miss out on doing Secret Santa. All the drivers from the 2022 grid had a lot of fun sharing gifts with fellow colleagues. The full video of the drivers doing the Secret Santa has already been shared on Formula One’s official YouTube channel. Which gift do you think stands out?
While it was great to see drivers elated to receive some of their favourite gifts, one moment certainly stood out. Max Verstappen received an F1 latest edition video game and guess who his Secret Santa was? Well, it was indeed his racing rival, Charles Leclerc. Verstappen loves playing video games and it was very sweet of Leclerc to send such a gift. The Ferrari man didn’t forget to do some banter though – “To my biggest fan”, he left a message for Verstappen on a note along with the gift.
What are some of the most interesting gifts that the drivers received at F1 Secret Santa?
All the gifts were certainly pretty unique and interesting on their own and the recipients definitely loved them. Daniel Ricciardo received a Harry Styles T-shirt from Nicholas Latifi while Alex Albon sent a meatball flag to Kevin Magnussen. Meanwhile, Lando Norris sent a very sweet frame of Yuki Tsunoda and Pierre Gasly together to the Japanese driver and Tsunoda appeared over-whelmed at the gesture.
Sebastian Vettel’s love for Mother Earth and nature was on display once again as he sent an adoption certificate of ’61 drone bees’ to Nicholas Latifi. Kevin Magnussen gifted a rear-view mirror to Fernando Alonso while Esteban Ocon sent a Brazilian drum to George Russell. One of the gifts that stood out was certainly Lance Stroll gifting trees to Sebastian Vettel. The German driver was elated and called it the ‘best gift’ one could ever give.
