F2 2023: The grid is now complete – Everything you should know

The upcoming 2023 F2 season is scheduled to start on March 4 at the Bahrain International Circuit – here is the grid.

F2 teams have officially confirmed their driver line-ups for the new season. There are some exciting new faces in the grid along with the veterans. The 2023 season will begin on March 4 in Bahrain and end on November 25 in Abu Dhabi.

Some of the familiar names in the grid include Jehan Daruvala, Enzo Fittipaldi, Zane Maloney and Jack Doohan. F1 driver Charles Leclerc’s younger brother, Arthur Leclerc, India’s Kush Maini are some of the new promising faces to watch out for. Reigning champion Felipe Drugovich has left the series while American driver Logan Sargeant has graduated up to Formula One. Carlin boasts of a strong drivers’ line up, having Fittipaldi and Maloney in their ranks. Meanwhile, Arthur Leclerc will be seen driving for DAMS.

How are the teams shaping up ahead of the 2023 F1 season?

Now that we have already taken a look at the F2 teams, let us check out the F1 grid for the new season. The new season of Formula One is just a few weeks away and teams have finalised their drivers’ line up for 2023. The 2023 F1 grid will see a number of new faces while we will certainly miss four-time World Champion, Sebastian Vettel, who decided to retire at the end of 2022 season.

There will be three debutants in the F1 grid next season – Nyck de Vries (Alpha Tauri), Oscar Piastri (McLaren) and Logan Sargeant (Williams). We will also see the full-time return of Nico Hulkenberg for the first time since 2019, who has replaced Mick Schumacher at Haas. Meanwhile, Aston Martin has roped in two-time World Champion, Fernando Alonso to fill the spot vacated by the retiring Sebastian Vettel.

McLaren has brought in Oscar Piastri after Alonso’s departure from the team. Yuki Tsunoda has moved on to Alpha Tauri while Alpine have signed Esteban Ocon to partner Gasly in the Japanese driver’s place. Nicholas Latifi, Mick Schumacher and Daniel Ricciardo are unfortunately missing out and won’t be a full-time part of the F1 grid next season.
