Esteban Ocon is confident of doing well for Alpine at the Singapore GP this weekend – a fan recently apologised to him on Reddit.

Esteban Ocon hosted a brief ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Reddit ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix weekend. Among the many questions that popped up, a fan apologised to him for an incident dating back to the 2022 Canadian GP.

“In Canadian GP 2022, when you were cycling in the pit lane, during the pit lane walk on Thursday, I was pushed by the crowd behind me and I leaned on you, while you were cycling, which almost caused you to fall. I just wanted to apologize for it since I didn’t intend to purposely make you fall”, the fan wrote. Ocon humbly accepted the apology and assured him that there was no need to apologise as it was unintentional.

In response to the fan’s comment, Ocon reassured that there was no need to apologize and that nothing serious had happened, such as a wrist injury. He expressed gratitude for the apology and mentioned that it was indeed very crowded, and they were consistently rushing from one side to the other. Fans were certainly impressed by Ocon’s gesture as the Alpine man continued to answer other questions.

It is worth noting that Ocon had a great outing at the 2022 Canadian GP. He finished a commendable sixth and secured 8 valuable points for Team Alpine.

In the previous race at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, the BWT Alpine F1 Team had a challenging weekend. Their A523 car not only fell behind the frontrunners but also struggled to keep pace with the midfield competitors. Consequently, they left Italy without adding any points to their total in the 2023 FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
