Schwartzman will be the sole reserve driver for Ferrari during five such Grand Prix – Jeddah, Barcelona, Baku, Silverstone and Interlagos.

Schwartzman has improved in leaps and bounds over the last few years. In 2022, he was Ferrari’s F1 test and development driver after two successful seasons in Formula 2. He also took part in the end-of-season test in Abu Dhabi, getting more time behind the wheel of the F1-75 car. He recently tested an Indycar with Chip Ganassi Racing at Sebring but it remains to be seen if he will join a different racing division besides filling in as a reserve driver when required.

Ferrari have also kept a separate day for filming but the date hasn’t been confirmed yet. As things stand, Aston Martin will unveil their car on February 13, followed by Ferrari on February 14. According to initial reports, Ferrari have named their latest car as F1-675. The striking difference that it should have from the previous version is with respect to the body and we can expect different volumes compared to the F1-75, in favour of a lower drag.

Ferrari’s new Team Principal Frederic Vasseur will give the final nod of approval before the new car is unveiled. Vasseur has officially replaced Mattia Binotto as the Team Principal of Ferrari F1 team 2023 season onwards, having left Alfa Romeo to join the Scuderia.
