Here’s a look at the 2022 Italian GP preview, schedule, live stream details and our predictions for the race at Monza
The Italian Grand Prix is the fifth oldest national Grand Prix, after the French Grand Prix, the American Grand Prize, the Spanish Grand Prix and the Russian Grand Prix, having been held since 1921. In 2013 it became the most held Grand Prix (the 2021 edition was the 91st). It is one of the two Grand Prix (along with the British GP) which has run as an event of the Formula One World Championship Grand Prix every season, continuously since the championship was introduced in 1950.
Italian GP 2022 Preview and Track
The Italian GP will take place at the historical Monza circuit, near the city of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy. Built in 1922, it was the world’s third purpose-built motor racing circuit after Brooklands and Indianapolis and the oldest in mainland Europe. The circuit’s biggest event is the Italian Grand Prix. Except for the 1980 running, the race has been hosted there since 1949.
Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton are the joint most successful drivers in the history of the Italian Grand Prix. Both have won it a record five times each. Ferrari is the most successful constructor with 20 wins. Ruben Barrichello’s lap timing of 1:21.046, while driving a Ferrari F2004 in the 2004 Italian Grand Prix is the official race lap record at this GP.

Italian GP 2022 Predictions
Given the form Max Verstappen is in, one can expect the Red Bull star man to come up trumps once again, for the third consecutive time since the resumption after summer break. However, he will certainly be tested by the likes of Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz, Lewis Hamilton, and Sergio Perez. P1 for Verstappen, P2 for Leclerc and P3 for Hamilton is our prediction for the weekend.
