Here’s a look at the 2023 Saudi Arabian GP preview, schedule, live stream details and our predictions for the night race in Jeddah
F1 action moves to Saudi Arabia this weekend after an enthralling Bahrain GP. The Saudi Arabian GP was held for the first time in 2021 and this will be the 3rd edition of the Grand Prix. It is one of the very few night races in the Formula One calendar and that makes it a spectacle for viewers across the globe. The Jeddah Cornice Circuit is the home of the Saudi Arabian GP and will host the race from March 17-19.
The Jeddah F1 circuit is located in the Red Sea port city of Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia. It is considered to be the fastest street track in the current F1 calendar and is the second-longest track after Spa-Francorchamps. The circuit was designed by Carsten Tilke, son of the famed circuit designer, Hermann Tilke and is listed as an FIA Grade I circuit.
Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are the joint-most successful drivers in the history of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, having won one title each. Mercedes and Red Bull are the most successful constructors, having registered seven wins in the 2021 and 2022 editions respectively. Lewis Hamilton’s lap timing of 1:30.734, while driving a Mercedes W12 in the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is the official race lap record at this GP.
