The Singapore Grand Prix is one of the most-awaited races in the Formula 1 calendar each year. It takes place at the Marina Bay Street Circuit and was the inaugural night race and first street circuit in Asia for F1 races. The 2023 Singapore GP is scheduled to take place from 15th September to 17th September as we gear up for the Asian leg of the F1 season.
The Marina Bay Street Circuit, spanning a length of 5.063 kilometers, is situated along the waterfront and shares its design characteristics with circuits like the Circuit de Monaco and the Valencia Street Circuit. Remarkably, this circuit has the distinction of witnessing at least one safety car deployment in every race held there thus far. Additionally, it boasts an FIA Grade I license and can accommodate up to 90,000 spectators.
Sebastian Vettel stands as the most accomplished driver in the history of the Singapore Grand Prix, boasting an impressive record of five victories to his name. In terms of constructors, Ferrari, Red Bull, and Mercedes share the top spot with four wins each. An intriguing note is that Kevin Magnussen’s lap time of 1:41.905, achieved while piloting a Haas VF-18 during the 2018 Singapore Grand Prix, holds the official race lap record at this event.
