Franz Tost Career
Franz Tost is the Team Principal of the AlphaTauri F1 team. He has been the Team Principal of this Red Bull-owned team since 2006. Tost is a former professional racing driver and holds the record of winning the 1983 Austrian FF Championship. However, he could never make it big when it comes to full-time driving at the top level and later switched to team management roles.
Tost took his first big step in management in 1993 when he joined Willi Weber’s Formula 3 team as a Team Manager.
