Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc are coming off a decent pre-season test outing with Ferrari in Bahrain – fans were in for a shock when their photos were uploaded in black and white by Ferrari
Ferrari’s social media team had momentarily taken everyone by surprise last evening on social media. The team’s official handles on platforms like Instagram and Twitter uploaded black and white pictures of their drivers’ Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc. “C^2 in black and white,” they wrote but most fans thought at first glance that something terrible had happened and both drivers have passed away.
Carlos Sainz himself was taken by surprise. “I thought this was a RIP on me. But I’m still here”, the Spaniard wrote. Jokes aside, the mood in the Ferrari camp seems to be really good after a decent pre-season outing in Bahrain. However, the team has more work to do if they are to challenge Red Bull for the F1 World Championship title this season.
Fans react to Ferrari’s black and white post on social media
Let us take a look at some of the reactions from fans on social media.
“Bruh I actually thought the same. Had a minor heart attack”, wrote a fan.
“I saw this post and thought he was dead and then clicked on it and saw his comment. My heart rate spiked up and everything lol”, commented another fan, echoing similar sentiments.
“Idk, every time I see a black and white picture of a racing driver I think that they could’ve died. Not the greatest choice of effects”, read a comment.
“Ferrari be like, lets get a head start on the cock ups, why wait for the season to start?”, joked another fan.
Another user wrote: “I am crying with laughter, the comments under the photo on Instagram are so funny – Ferrari gave half the fan base a heart attack.”
