F1 drivers had gala Christmas celebrations with friends and families – here’s everything you need to know about it
Formula One drivers made the most of the off-season and celebrated Christmas in style with their close friends and families. Most of the F1 stars shared pictures of their celebrations on Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms. Let us take a closer look at how each of the drivers celebrated the much-awaited festival.
Lewis Hamilton went on skiing along with his brother Nicholas. The seven-time World Champion shared a few glimpses of their adventure on Instagram stories. Lewis was very happy to see his brother Nicholas overcome his struggles to take part in skiing activities.
Charles Leclerc chose a more comfortable way to celebrate the occasion. He had a good time at home with his family and friends. Leclerc also shared a picture on Instagram to wish his fans a ‘Merry Christmas’. In the picture, the Ferrari man is seen with his mother and brothers.
Mercedes man George Russell also celebrated Christmas at home, along with his girlfriend Carmen Mundt. The British driver shared the picture on Instagram, where he can be seen hugging his girlfriend in front of a Christmas tree. Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz was also spotted celebrating Christmas at home with his family.
Thai driver Alex Albon was seen celebrating Christmas along with his girlfriend Lily Muni. Albon shared a video on social media where the couple can be seen dancing in a bar and enjoying some drinks. Most of the other F1 drivers like Esteban Ocon, Yuki Tsunoda celebrated Christmas at home with families and it is wonderful to see the stars having a great time after a hectic F1 season.
F1 drivers had an amazing time doing the Secret Santa ahead of the Christmas week
F1 drivers from the 2022 grid had a lot of fun doing the Secret Santa ahead of Christmas week. All the drivers from the 2022 grid had a lot of fun sharing gifts with fellow colleagues. The full video of the drivers doing the Secret Santa was shared on Formula One’s official YouTube channel.
All the gifts were certainly pretty unique and interesting on their own and the recipients definitely loved them. Daniel Ricciardo received a Harry Styles T-shirt from Nicholas Latifi while Alex Albon sent a meatball flag to Kevin Magnussen. Meanwhile, Lando Norris sent a very sweet frame of Yuki Tsunoda and Pierre Gasly together to the Japanese driver and Tsunoda appeared over-whelmed at the gesture.
Sebastian Vettel’s love for Mother Earth and nature was on display once again as he sent an adoption certificate of ’61 drone bees’ to Nicholas Latifi. Kevin Magnussen gifted a rear-view mirror to Fernando Alonso while Esteban Ocon sent a Brazilian drum to George Russell. One of the gifts that stood out was certainly Lance Stroll gifting trees to Sebastian Vettel. The German driver was elated and called it the ‘best gift’ one could ever give.
Amidst all of the amazing gifts, one certainly stood out. Max Verstappen received an F1 latest edition video game and guess who his Secret Santa was? Well, it was indeed his racing rival, Charles Leclerc. Verstappen loves playing video games and it was very sweet of Leclerc to send such a gift. The Ferrari man didn’t forget to do some banter though – “To my biggest fan”, he left a message for Verstappen on a note along with the gift.
