Daniel Ricciardo won over the internet with his statement back in 2018 after securing pole at the Mexican GP

Daniel Ricciardo has left Twitter into splits once again after his hilarious tweet last night. In a throwback video posted by Formula One’s official Twitter handle, Ricciardo replied: “I like tripping nutsack”. If the original video from 2018 wasn’t hilarious enough, this reply has certainly got fans on Twitter laughing hard.

The original video shared by F1 is from the 2018 Mexican GP. After securing pole position by the barest of margins ahead of Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, Ricciardo said: “I am still convinced it was not the cleanest but yeah, once I heard I got pole, I have got to relax a little, I am tripping major nut sack right now.” His hilarious statement had gone viral in no time and old memories were rekindled by this throwback from the F1 Twitter handle.

The incident happened exactly on this day – October 27, four years ago. It was a small milestone for Ricciardo as well, with it being his first pole position away from the streets of Monaco. In the process, he also denied Verstappen the record of becoming the youngest pole-sitter in Formula 1 history.
