Wordle is a web-based word game that has recently gained immense popularity on the internet
Good news for Formula One fans! An F1-themed Wordle is live now, finally, or is it? Besides the original version, sporting versions of Wordle like those of Football and Cricket are already available.
However, hardly a day after it went live, it was taken down. The creator, however, assured that it is ‘being re-done.’
“The source code for the version of F1 Wordle we made yesterday was lifted directly from the original Wordle, verbatim. It should always have been based on an open-source variant. I didn’t know the source codes origin so it’s being re-done.“
Although there is no official version of the Wordle yet, F1 has entertained its followers on Twitter with some random Wordle samples from time to time.
After working on the one taken down, the creator launched F1 Worlde, and it was live for a couple of weeks before being taken down again. The game had hidden words ranging from Tyre to Lewis.
More recently, it looks like Planet F1 have come up with their own version of F1 Wordle. The game titled Sportword is live on Planet F1’s website.
Wordle is a simple, free, online word game that has now become a viral phenomenon. It is created by a programmer, Josh Wardle and can be played on phone or computer. The objective is to guess a five-letter word in just six tries. There is only one word available to guess and it resets daily. Wordle has had a meteoric rise in terms of popularity since December 2021.
The concept of Wordle is simple and user-friendly. It is one of the primary reasons behind the game gaining so much popularity. Wordle allows you to show your vocabulary and challenge your friends and family members, so there is a competitive edge to it as well. The internet has buzzed with memes and content regarding the game and it is currently an internet sensation.
