Yuki Tsunoda will be seen in action for Alpha Tauri in F1 2023 but there is no confirmation yet about his partner Pierre Gasly’s future with the team
Yuki Tsunoda will continue to drive for Alpha Tauri in 2023 – his third season in Formula 1. The 22-year-old made his Formula 1 debut last year and will remain with Red Bull’s sister team for the next season at least. In 2021, Tsunoda scored 32 points but has struggled to match that tally this season and has only earned 11 points so far in 2022.
Tsunoda is pretty happy about his contract extension with Alpha Tauri. “I want to say a huge thank you to Red Bull, Honda and Scuderia AlphaTauri for continuing to give me the opportunity to drive in F1”, the Japanese said. Meanwhile, Tsunoda’s partner and best mate Pierre Gasly’s future at Alpha Tauri is uncertain. The Frenchman has been linked with the vacant seat at Alpine.
