Coachbuilt Whisky
Former F1 driver Jenson Button collaborated with whiskey expert George Koutsakis to create Coachbuilt in 2022
Jenson Button and Koutsakis’ whiskey brand Coachbuilt has partnered with the luxurious car company Rolls Royce in London. The two companies have joined hands together to produce 300 exclusive 30-year-old bottlings. They will offer half of the bottles exclusively to Rolls-Royce London customers. The remaining bottles will be available for purchase via ballot and selected winners will get the bottles delivered in mid-June.
The cost of a bottle of this whiskey is roughly US$ 1,861. Button is understandably elated with this association and said: “It’s really quite incredible to think we are only just celebrating Coachbuilt’s first birthday, and to see how far we have come in that time. Seeing Coachbuilt partner with brands such as Rolls-Royce London was always the dream, but to see that become a reality in 12 months is really rather special.”
This is Coachbuilt’s flagship project and the content comprises liquid from all five whisky-producing regions of Scotland: Islay, Speyside, Campbeltown, the Highlands, and the Lowlands.
Button retired from Formula One in 2017 and focussed more on his charitable work and foundations. The former F1 World Champion has his own foundation ‘The Jenson Button Trust’, which was established in 2010. Button is also the patron of the UK’s Make-a-wish Foundation, an organisation which grants the wishes of terminally ill children and young persons. Apart from that, he is a sport ambassador for both The Prince’s Trust and the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and supports the Sean Edwards Foundation.
Button now aims to be a successful entrepreneur after an illustrious professional racing career. In his Formula One career spanning close to two decades, Button registered 15 race wins and 50 podium finishes besides winning the 2009 F1 World Championship title. After a successful F1 career, Button moved to the Super GT Championship and won the title in 2018.
