Lewis Hamilton defends Naomi Schiff after trolls attack her on social media

Lewis Hamilton has taken a stand for Naomi Schiff on social media after the presenter’s credentials were questioned on Twitter. Schiff joined the Sky punditry team for the 2022 season as an analyst and co-hosts Any Driven Monday after race weekends on Sky Sports F1’s YouTube channel. A user on Twitter, however, questioned her qualifications to analyse racing, to which she replied with three yawning emojis.

Lewis Hamilton was quick to express his support for Schiff on Twitter. “Naomi is an ex-professional racing driver & totally qualified to give her opinion as part of the Sky team. She’s been a great asset since joining & we should welcome more representative broadcasting with open arms. Still have a long way to go to change these attitudes in sport”, he tweeted.

Naomi Schiff has certainly grabbed eyeballs of F1 fans on social media. She has been one of the discussed individuals across the F1 community on Twitter. There has been a wide range of positive reactions from fans who follow her live shows.

Schiff is a Rwandan-Belgian professional racing driver. She was a part of the presenting team during the recent launch of the Mercedes F1 Team car. Schiff is currently the W Series’ Diversity and Inclusion Ambassador and reserve driver.

She started karting at the age of 11. Schiff has the experience of racing in prototype, GT and single-seater cars winning the 2014 Clip Cup Asia Championship title, the 2018 KTM GT4 X-Bow battle championship title and secured second place finish in the 2018 ADAC Zurich 24 hours Nurburgring.

Naomi Schiff has certainly done well in her new role as the F1 presenter for Sky Sports. Schiff is a professional racing driver herself but joined the Sky Sports F1 team as an analyst for a brand new show – Any Driven Monday.

The show is a 60-minute live, streamed on Sky Sports F1’s YouTube channel bringing the best action across F1, F2, F3 and IndyCar series. Schiff is a part of the presentation team at races and can often be seen at various Grand Prix venues across the globe.
