Seven-time World champion Lewis Hamilton had a special message for F1 fans ahead of the Bahrain GP.
The F1 universe was stuck in time when Lewis Hamilton took a hiatus from social media after the Abu Dhabi GP last season. Hamilton lost the Drivers’ Championship on the final lap of the entire season under highly controversial circumstances created by race director Michael Masi. It led to Red Bull’s Max Verstappen winning his first title.
Multiple rumors suggested that Hamilton would call it quits on his illustrious career in F1. However, Hamilton cleared the air on his future during the winter break, suggesting that he was back. And now, it appears that the Briton is hungry for success once again and prepared to chase that record-breaking eighth world title.

In a social media post ahead of the Bahrain GP, Hamilton revealed that he had been through “so much” to get back on the grid, both “physically and spiritually”. The 37-year-old also claimed that he has put in a lot of effort and dedicated long hours in behind-the-scenes work ahead of the new season that starts this weekend.
The Mercedes driver also gave a shoutout to his team. He suggested that the eight-time Constructors’ champions have no intention of letting their grip on the title slip for any moment. Hamilton also took some time out from his busy schedule to thank a few of his fans on social media for their unconditional support.
Despite Hamilton’s defiant message ahead of the Bahrain GP, it remains to be seen whether he can get the best out of his Mercedes this weekend. Hamilton won the opening race of the season last year but is his car was still facing some issues with porpoising after FP 2 on Friday.
