Sir Lewis Hamilton returns to Instagram with nice words for Rihanna
Lewis Hamilton returned to social media after a long hiatus to react to the news of pop singer Rihanna‘s pregnancy news. The 7-time Formula One champion had been absent from social media since December 2021 after his cruel loss to Max Verstappen.
The Briton reacted to the news of Rihanna’s pregnancy. The Barbadian is expecting her first child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky. Hamilton posted a story of Rihanna and added the text, “Love this.”
He shared his first post on social media in almost two months on Saturday. The caption read: ‘I’ve been gone. Now I’m back!’
The series of pictures, posted on Instagram featured Rihanna in a long pink vintage Chanel puffer coat. Along with the coat, were jewelled gold buttons gold Chanel chain belt. ASAP Rocky was wearing leather pants, a hooded varsity sweater and a black beanie. Hamilton and Rihanna, 33, have been linked together in the past, but they denied the rumours.
Will we see Lewis Hamilton in 2022?
Hamilton was unfortunately denied a record-breaking 8th World Championship in 2021. The Mercedes driver was overtaken by rival Verstappen in the final lap, which gave away the lead and the Championship. The safety car deployment, however, was a matter of controversy after a crash in the final laps.
An FIA enquiry has been ongoing to decide ways to improve racing in the future. Hamilton, reportedly is set to make a decision on his future based on the enquiry. The Brit was also given a knighthood in the New Year Honours list in 2021, having previously been awarded the MBE in 2008 after winning his first title.
In 2022, his new teammate will be George Russell who replaces Valterri Bottas after 5 years. The youngster joined Williams to make an all-English pairing at Mercedes. The team will go head-to-head with Red Bull once again this year. The competition between the two rivals boiled down to the final lap in 2021.
We hope to see more racing and more action from Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton again in 2022.
