American driver Logan Sargeant was in attendance at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami
Logan Sargeant is making the most of his leisure time ahead of his debut season in Formula 1. The American driver was in attendance at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami to watch his team Miami Dolphins take on the Green Bay Packers in the NFL. Sargeant had an eventful evening and was welcomed by the crowd with a grand ovation and was also presented with the Dolphins merchandise and memorabilia.
Sargeant is from Miami and understandably is a huge fan of the Dolphins. “Vroom vroom … @LoganSargeant is back at @HardRockStadium! We can’t wait to watch you in your hometown race at @f1miami and on the @F1 grid with @WilliamsRacing next year”, the Miami Dolphins official handle wrote on Twitter. Unfortunately for him though, he had to watch his team succumb to a 20-26 loss against the Packers. The Dolphins have now lost three consecutive matches but on a positive note, they will make the play-offs if they win at least two of their last three games.
Logan Sargeant is set to make his F1 debut in 2023
Logan Sargeant is set to make his F1 debut next season after being roped in by Williams. He will become the first American racer in F1 since Alexander Rossi in 2015. Sargeant will be seen in action for the Williams F1 team next year, replacing Nicholas Latifi. Sargeant drove for Williams in FP1 at the US Grand Prix and has now been officially confirmed as their second F1 driver in 2023.
Logan has been a part of the Williams Driver Academy for a long time and competed in Formula 2 with Carlin last season. Sargeant finished fourth in the 2022 F2 championship and earned the much-needed FIA super licence. Logan made his FIA Formula 2 Championship debut in 2019 with HWA Racelab. His breakthrough season came in 2022 after he was roped in by Carlin alongside Liam Lawson. At the feature race of the British Grand Prix, he became the first American driver to win a Formula 2 race. Sargeant won the feature race at the F2 Austrian GP the very next week.
