Max Verstappen has a suggestion for Nicholas Latifi on what to do with his phone
Max Verstappen was crowned as the Formula One driver’s champion this past Sunday at the Abu Dhabi GP. A race that looked to be over as Lewis Hamilton built a commanding lead, but the outcome of the race shifted in the Dutch’s favor as Nicholas Latifi crashed into the barriers bringing out the safety car.
Taking advantage of the situation, Verstappen was able to make a pit stop and come out with fresher tires. This eventually led to the 24-year-old winning the Formula One world championship. Life who had absolutely no intentions of changing the outcome of the race has been receiving a lot of hate as he ended up playing a major role in deciding the outcome of the race.
Verstappen had some words for Latifi and suggested he turn off his phone to save himself from the unnecessary hate. Verstappen said (h/t Planet F1):
“If he is smart, he will turn off his phone and ignore it, I just hope Nicholas can enjoy his holiday and come back stronger next year.”
Did Nicholas Latifi get any rewards from the Red Bull F1 team?
After accidentally playing a part in the outcome of the race, Latifi was rewarded by the Red Bull F1 team principal Christian Horner promised to give a lifetime supply of Red Bull to the Williams driver.

Even though Latifi did not intend on changing the outcome, he will most certainly not mind getting a free supply of Red Bull. It will be interesting to see whether Horner lives up to his word and actually rewards Latifi or not.
