Mexican GP 2022: Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher register exact same timing in qualifying

Mick Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel registered a timing of 1:20.419 in qualifying and will start the race from 15th and 16th spots, respectively

There was nothing to separate Aston Martin’s Vettel and Haas’ Mick Schumacher during qualifying on Saturday night at the Mexican GP. Both the Germans qualified for Sunday’s race with the same timing of 1:20.419. Schumacher will start the race from 15th place while Vettel is placed 16th in the grid.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen topped the qualifying session, with a timing of 1:17.775, helping him to take pole position for the race. Mercedes duo of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton will start the race just behind Verstappen in second and third place, respectively. Sergio Perez, Carlos Sainz and Valtteri Bottas occupy the other spots in the top six.

Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher are known to be very close friends and share a great camaraderie with each other.
