Max Verstappen and other drivers from the 2022 grid had a lot of fun as F1 does the Secret Santa
Christmas is fast approaching and F1 drivers certainly didn’t want to miss out on doing Secret Santa. All the drivers from the 2022 grid had a lot of fun sharing gifts with fellow colleagues. The full video of the drivers doing the Secret Santa has been shared on Formula One’s official YouTube channel.
While it was great to see drivers elated to receive some of their favourite gifts, one moment certainly stood out. Max Verstappen received an F1 latest edition video game and guess who his Secret Santa was? Well, it was indeed his racing rival, Charles Leclerc. Verstappen loves playing video games and it was very sweet of Leclerc to send such a gift. The Ferrari man didn’t forget to do some banter though – “To my biggest fan”, he left a message for Verstappen on a note along with the gift.
There were some hilarious responses when fans on Twitter were asked to guess, who could possibly be Verstappen’s Secret Santa. Let us take a look at some of the reactions.
“Michael Masi? After all, he does give Max loads of gifts”, trolled a fan.
“Gets F1 game as a joke because he speaks the truth of it being a joke game. Meanwhile official game account posting exactly that gift lol. Can’t make this up”, joked another fan.
“The Cover is not a normal cover though…Charles has been playing with Photoshop”, read a tweet.
“Saved himself some cash as it was a free copy too I guess. Plus Max aint a fan of the games”, tweeted another fan.
Another fan wrote: “Fix the game instead of doing pointless stuff like this and promoting racist, dangerous drivers like Max.”
