The 32-year old Australian, Daniel Ricciardo racer’s gestures have received mixed reactions from Twitter users
Daniel Ricciardo, the 8-time Grand Prix winner has sparked a fresh debate on social media. In a tweet shared by Formula One’s official Twitter handle, Ricciardo is seen making rhythmical gestures to the beats of various national anthems. The video tweeted is a compilation of clips collected from various prize distribution ceremonies in Formula one.
The tweet has received mixed reactions from users across the globe. Some are of the opinion that it is normal human behaviour and is nothing disrespectful. Others have argued that we ought to stand still when a National Anthem is being played as a sign of respect to the anthem and the concerned country.
Reactions of Twitter users to goofy Daniel Ricciardo
Twitter users across the globe were quick to dive deep into the issue. Monaco, Austria and Monza are the venues from which these clips were clicked all of them in 2021, it was gradually revealed.
A video shared by a user showed fellow McLaren driver, Lando Norris almost laughing off after watching Ricciardo’s movements. While some users were very harsh on the drivers, others didn’t want to make a big deal out of it.
