Sergio Perez is a big foodie absolutely loves his Mexican delicacies and cuisine
Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez seems to make the most of his off-season, back in his home country of Mexico. The Red Bull driver was spotted in a restaurant enjoying a traditional Mexican delicacy ‘Torta’. Perez himself share a picture of his food on Instagram story and the photo has gone viral in no time.
Torta is a very popular delicacy in Mexico and like his fellow Mexicans, Perez also appears to enjoy it a lot. It is basically a sandwich served on a roll or bun and is filled with a wide variety of ingredients including different types of meat and cheese. The ‘Torta de Milanesa’ is one of the most popular forms of sandwich in Mexico and all the ingredients involved in the preparation makes it simply magical.
Perez seems to be enjoying the freedom during off-season to eat whatever he wants. It is certainly a much-needed break from the regular season, when like all athletes, F1 drivers have to follow a strict diet routine.

Sergio Perez is one of the most popular F1 drivers in the globe at present. He has emerged as one of the top F1 stars of the modern era and single-handedly put Mexico on the map of motorsport. Perez started his Formula One career with Sauber F1 team in 2011 at an estimated salary of less than US $1 million and ten years on, he is now one of the highest-paid racers in the sport. Perez’s current estimated annual salary is US $10 million, making him the fourth-highest-paid F1 racer.
In his F1 career to date, spanning over a decade, Perez has registered four race wins to go with 26 podium finishes. The Mexican finished third this season in the drivers’ championship after some commendable performance and at one point in time, he was in contention for the championship title. Thanks to his consistent performances, Perez’s net worth and popularity are rising every season.
