Red Bull team principal Christian Horner tied the knot in 2015 when Daniel Ricciardo used to be a Red Bull driver
A series of photos of Daniel Ricciardo have surfaced on the internet, leaving fans curious. In the pictures, Ricciardo can be seen driving Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner and Geri Halliwell’s wedding car! These images are understood to be from 2015 when Horner and Halliwell got married, and back then Ricciardo used to be a Red Bull driver.
Ricciardo has always been an interesting personality in F1 but this new avatar has certainly taken fans by surprise. Christian and Geri were married on 15 May 2015 in Bedfordshire. In 2016, Halliwell announced the pair were expecting their first child together and their son was born in January 2017. Horner is stepfather to Halliwell’s daughter, Bluebell Madonna, from her previous relationship with screenwriter Sacha Gervasi.
Daniel Ricciardo is in the final lap of his F1 career
Fast forward to the present day, Ricciardo is no more the young, adventurous kid in the F1 circuit. McLaren ousted him after the British F1 team ended his contract. Ricciardo, an eight-time Grand Prix winner, had a deal until the end of 2023 but McLaren’s hierarchy has moved to end the 33-year-old’s disappointing two-season stint with the team by paying off the final season of his deal.
The McLaren management felt Ricciardo, a former Red Bull and Renault driver, has not met his expectations since his arrival at the team last year. Although Ricciardo ended McLaren’s nine-year winning drought with victory at the Italian Grand Prix last season, Britain’s Lando Norris has consistently outperformed him. Norris has qualified ahead of Ricciardo at 11 of the 13 races in 2022 and has scored 57 points more than his teammate.
Oscar Piastri will replace Ricciardo at McLaren in the 2023 season.
