Former F1 driver Romain Grosjean extinguishes fire at Detroit Grand Prix
Romain Grosjean was witness to a second horrific accident in six months as he escaped at the Detroit Grand Prix.
Fortunately, the incident on Sunday was less severe compared to the fireball crash at the end of the 2020 F1 season in Sakhir. Grosejan got up from the car and rushed to get a fire extinguisher to douse out the fire on his Dale Coyne/Rick Ware.
“The staff arrived to assist Grosjean to extinguish the fire. Later, he joked saying “I care about my racing cars. “I think we had two mega qualifying results with a third and fifth.
“Eventually we had a brake fire, and I had to extinguish a fire, but we’re all good here. It was a pretty eventful weekend in Detroit.”
Quotes from Planetf1
“[On Saturday] We struggled a bit more with the balance. But we were hanging in there at the restart following the red flag and we were looking good. Then we tried to come into the race, but I picked up a drive-through penalty and we tried to come back from there.”
This guy 🤣👏
