Romain Grosjean has taken a step down to join Lamborghini for the LMDh programme

Former F1 star Romain Grosjean will race Lamborghini’s new LMDh prototype in 2024. Grosjean has become the third driver to join the LMDh programme after Mirko Bortolotti and Andrea Caldarelli. He will make his Lamborghini debut with Iron Lynx in next month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona IMSA series.

Grosjean is a veteran in motorsport and had been an active F1 driver until 2020. During his long F1 career, Grosjean managed to secure 10 podium finishes in 179 starts. He will now play a key role in the development of the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

The Swiss-French racing driver is understandably excited to start his new venture. “For me, it is incredible to represent Lamborghini, especially now with endurance becoming a category with so many manufacturers. With Lamborghini being such a successful brand, I hope we can do well in the future”, he said.
